My role was to set up the foundation of the business: the daily operational processes, the brand identity, the website and the customer experience. The project was scrapped at the point when our client base increased (see Crabtree and Hargreeves - Website).
During the growth of Crabtree and Hargreeves we purchased a CNC machine which increased our production capacity faster than our marketing increased our client base. To cover the downtime we set about creating a CNC outsourcing business.
The website allowed users to upload .DXF files with their chosen design, they would then receive an email confirmation and the project would appear on our internal Trello system. The .DXF is then checked automatically and a cutting path is generated along with an estimated price for the customer.
